Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Polson Loaves + Fish Pantry website (www.polsonpantry.com) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are an all-volunteer food pantry, and we keep what we collect to a minimum.
Information you give us
We only collect personal information when you choose to send it to us:
- Volunteer form: your first name, last name and email address, so we can send you information about volunteering.
- Contact form: your first name, last name and email address, and, if you choose, your phone number and a message, so we can reply to you.
We do not ask for income, household or eligibility details on this website. Please don't include sensitive information in a message.
How form submissions are handled
When you send a form, it is stored in a secure database (Supabase) managed by our website provider, and a copy is emailed to the pantry using Cloudflare's email service. Only pantry volunteers who handle these messages and our website provider can see them. We use your information only to respond to you and to coordinate volunteers. We do not sell, rent or trade it.
To stop spam, your IP address is used for about one minute to prevent the same form being sent repeatedly. It is not stored with your submission.
Donations
Donations are made through Stripe Payment Links. When you donate, you enter your payment details on Stripe's website, not ours, and Stripe processes the payment under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares details such as your name, email address and the amount of your gift with us so we can keep records and thank you.
Cookies and analytics
This website stores one cookie of its own, cookie_consent, only if you turn off analytics cookies, so we remember your choice for 12 months.
We use the following services to understand how people use the site so we can improve it. They never load if you have opted out:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google), which measures visits and how pages are used. Cookies: _ga, _ga_*.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft), which records anonymized clicks and scrolling to show us what is hard to use. Cookies: _clck, _clsk.
Your choices: Cookie Settings and Global Privacy Control
You can turn analytics cookies off at any time with the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page. When you turn them off, we stop loading these services and delete the cookies they set on this site.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out, and these services won't load.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as Stripe and Google Maps. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
How long we keep information
We keep form submissions only as long as we need them to respond to you and to coordinate volunteers, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
